Meet Amrik Singh Shera, the unsung lyricist behind the chart-topping sensation, "Kala Chashma." Hailing from Talwandi Chaudhrian village near Jalandhar, this unassuming head constable in the Punjab police penned the lyrics to the iconic Punjabi song back in 1990 when he was just 15. Little did he know that his creation would become a musical sensation, transcending time and borders. The song's journey from regional hit to Bollywood stardom was unexpected. Shera was approached by the Angel Record Company, which sought his songs for an event. He signed an agreement for a modest sum, unaware that "Kala Chashma" would find its way into the blockbuster movie "Baar Baar Dekho."
